About the Study

Overview

The MOBILE Relief Study involves completing a self-directed, 90-minute online pain treatment program and filling out 7 online surveys over the course of 3 months.

We will also call you via telephone 3 times to confirm your current pain medication information:

    1.  After you complete the screening survey,
    2.  1 month post-treatment,
    3.  3 months post-treatment.

Timeline

MOBILE Relief study participants complete 7 online surveys:

    1.   When you begin the study (Baseline)
    2.   Immediately post-treatment
    3.   1 week post-treatment
    4.   2 weeks post-treatment
    5.   1 month post-treatment
    6.   2 months post-treatment
    7.   3 months post-treatment

Each survey may take you between 15-45 minutes to complete. The survey will ask you questions about pain, symptoms, pain coping, medication use, mood, sleep, substance use, general health, and well-being.

Who is eligible?

Adults who are 18 years or older, have chronic pain, are taking daily prescription opioid medications, and experience challenges taking their opioid medications as prescribed are invited to participate in this online treatment study.

Compensation

You can earn up to $170 for participating in the MOBILE Relief study.

  1. Complete the study screening form to make sure you are a good fit for the study
  2. Set up a call with the study coordinator to confirm your medication information
  3. If you qualify, you will be invited to join the study
